Large Foo Dog (Fu Dog) Statue

These are a beautiful Pair of Foo (Fu) Dogs made in blue and white porcelain. Foo dogs (or Fu Dogs) are prominent in the Buddhist religion. They usually are shown with one paw on a sphere, as these are, standing guard over an entrance. Foo dogs I(or Fu Dogs) discourage evil spirits and wrong doers from entering, while maintaining peace and tranquility within a sanctuary.
